POST HISTORY -"1887 thru 2009"

A Century and Two Decades Plus

Our roots date back to 1887. That post was known as The Dick Lambert Post  # 169 of The G.A.R. ( Grand Army of The Republic ) It was named after Dick Lambert, the first Lawrence County, Ohio native killed in the Civil War.

That post evolved into The Frank J.Goldcamp post # 59 of The American Legion in late 1919. That post evolved to Post # 433 in 1957.

 Our American Legion Post# 433 has been welcoming Veterans from all branches of our Armed Forces for over half a century.

 Today, we continue to welcome all military personnel serving our country. Joining our Post enables you to continue serving your God, Country and Community. Our mission is to implement the goals, aspirations, dreams, peace and blessings for our country, friends and families.
